For more than 50 years Christopher Community has helped low- and moderate-income families and seniors find housing to fit their specific needs. We currently manage over 3,100 units, in 68 properties, and in more than 100 buildings across Central and Western New York. We also administer Onondaga County's Rental Assistance Program (Section 8) which serves over 1,200 households.

La Madre Landing is a new family housing community developed by Christopher Community, bringing high-quality, affordable, and supportive housing to Central New York.
📍 104 Smokey Hollow Road, Baldwinsville, NY
Overview:
52 total units, 35 one-bedroom apartments, 17 two-bedroom apartments
Accessibility features include: Three (3) ADA-accessible units, Two (2) hearing/vision-accessible units
Supportive Housing:
La Madre Landing will include 15 integrated supportive housing units, designed to promote independence while providing access to on-site services: Eight (8) ESSHI units for individuals with a mental health diagnosis; Seven (7) I/DD units for individuals with a developmental or intellectual disability. These units are Integrated Supportive Housing (ISH) overseen by Office for People With Developmental Disabilities.
AccessCNY will serve as the on-site service provider, administering support services and rental subsidies for all supportive units. AccessCNY will also maintain dedicated office space within the building to support residents.
Energy Efficiency & Green Design:
La Madre Landing will be Christopher Community’s first Passive House project, meeting one of the highest standards for energy efficiency and sustainability. Passive House features include: Triple-pane windows, Enhanced insulation, All-electric heating and cooling systems. These elements reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and create healthier, more comfortable living environments for residents.
