Housing Choice Vouchers

Utilizing funding through HUD, Christopher Community provides Rental Assistance through Section 8 Vouchers, to assist low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities to afford decent, safe, and stable housing in the community where they want to live. Christopher Community provides assistance to over 1,300 families in Onondaga County with rental assistance so they can have long-term, stable housing that is well maintained, meets their needs and is affordable of a limited income. Stable housing also helps with positive effects on the tenants health, education, and economic well-being, as well as benefits for property owners and the broader community.
